Mindfulness is not just a trendy saying. It is an evidence-based psychological practice that we are trained and passionate about providing to improve quality of life and reduce symptoms. This provides you with the ability to notice your thoughts as they occur - we all have that little voice inside that dictates how we think, feel, and act. By using mindfulness techniques, we can notice out thoughts, acknowledge them, change them, and control our mind and body’s response to them.

Through mindfulness practice you begin to have a choice and feel control over the internal voice that hindered you thus far. This reduces many symptoms, including anxiety, depression, impulsivity, disorganization, and more. Mindfulness therapy is not about relaxation, even though that is a positive outcome of this type of treatment. We often use this approach with other types of therapy, such as Cognitive-based Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
