Professional Bio.

 
 

Delaney is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Northwestern University, specializing in child and adolescent counseling with experience working with young adults and adults going through various challenges and clinical symptoms.

During her time with Northwestern, she also completed an internship with the Drop-In Center at Highland Park High School where she was able to work with a diverse group of students dealing with issues around identity, depression, anxiety, family trauma, and more.

She has experience with LGBTQIA+ identity-affirming individual counseling and has co-facilitated social skills groups for teenage clients dealing with anxiety, ADHD, executive functioning, and autism spectrum disorder.

At The Family Institute at Northwestern, Delaney provided counseling services to adult clients experiencing interpersonal problems, life transitions, and depression among other challenges.

Currently, she is training through the nonprofit organization, Game to Grow, to become a certified Therapeutic Game Master to utilize games like Dungeons & Dragons in therapeutic settings.

Her genuine compassion along with her ability to listen and adapt her methods to the unique strengths and needs of her clients distinguishes Delaney as a passionate champion for the recovery and empowerment of those seeking treatment.
