This is your space to feel heard and adequately work through resentments or challenges that have built up between you and your partner. Not properly repairing conflict after arguments may develop into unhappiness and separation in relationships.

- You can learn to effectively communicate and argue constructively with your partner, no matter what you are trying to achieve in your relationship -

Participating in couples therapy can help if you have trouble with communication, often argue, struggle with intimacy or sexual dissatisfaction. You can learn to safely confront difficulties instead of exploding or avoiding them. Your therapist will work with you on creating a safe holding environment for the relationship, as well as develop and practice effective communication skills, ways to regulate escalating emotions, and conflict resolution strategies.

We use an integrated therapy approach that includes:

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) & Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT-C) to help partners learn to identify and communicate their experience in the moment so they feel heard and understood

Interpersonal Effective Skill Training from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is also used to improve your ability to be assertive, make requests, properly negotiate, and actively listen.
