Professional Bio.
Sonia works from an integrative approach to support youth and adult clients as they navigate anxiety, depression, identity concerns, adjustment challenges, relationship difficulties, social skill development, stress, and major life transitions. She most often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy for the individualized treatment needs of each client.
Sonia began her clinical training at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, where she worked closely with clients exploring identity development, anxiety, and relationship patterns. She is completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University.
Shaped by her bicultural upbringing between South India and the United States, Sonia brings a unique perspective and a deep belief in every client’s capacity for growth. Her passion lies in working alongside adolescents through adults, with particular care for the themes of belonging, self-worth, and cultural identity.
