Professional Bio.
Michael is an empathetic and caring individual dedicated to helping others enhance their sense of resiliency, self-efficacy, and problem-solving skills. Trained as a contemporary psychodynamic clinician, he employs an integrative approach that combines evidence-based strategies with his commitment to meeting the subjective needs of each individual. He recognizes that therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience and strives to foster genuine relationships with each of his clients. Michael also believes in the inherent strength of each person and aims to destigmatize certain narratives that have been reinforced throughout a person’s life.
Michael attained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Jose State University and is obtaining Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. He provided therapy services at the Family Institute at Northwestern, where he had the privilege of serving a diverse population of individuals. Additionally, his experience as a volunteer Crisis Counselor at Crisis Textline, bolstered his capacity to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to individuals while helping them develop coping skills tailored to their needs.
